03 Honda Accord Engine Jumped Timing
My vehicle was diagnosed 8/18 that the timing chain need be replaced. I knew I was not going to have enough funds to get it fixed until 9/26 and Sunday 9/23 the oil light came on and car stopped running as I was leaving work on Monday 9/24. Had it towed to the dealer to be checked and they 1st stated that the engine jumped timing and said they recommend me replacing the engine for $3350 which included parts 60K mile engine w/ 3 months warranty. I don't see how all this could have happened because since day one in 2004 when the vehicle was purchased from Honda Dealership, they have serviced all the oil changes and replacement of parts and issues w/ the vehicle...What should I do?

Did you regularly check the oil level? Although regular oil changes are necessary, the oil level should be checked regularly too. Some cars burn oil faster than others. It also depends on driving conditions, driving style, etc. It probably was low on oil.
The attached image has some info. regarding infrequent oil changes; however, yours could have been caused by low oil level and low oil pressure.
I am not sure what to tell you, not knowing the condition of the engine.
