04 accord keyfobs stopped working
Both of my keyfobs quit locking and unlocking both doors and trunk. I tried to reprogram the keys with no joy and then I tried to disconnect the battery and jumper the hot and ground leads together to reset the MCU. Still no good. Any other things that this amateur can check before I ask the Honda dealer how big a mortgage I need to apply for? The door locks still work from the armrests. (I just replaced the drivers side lock actuator.)

Thanks for your input. I would never have found that info otherwise. Everything I found on the internet was for other cars and seemed to be both expensive and something of a job. It seems that most mcu's are located in the kick panel behind the fuse block.
Curiously enough, I did just replace the control module in the drivers door. But, unfortunately, the problem started before the change and both modules exhibit the same problem. Perhaps you can tell me whether the MCU, if replaced, needs to be reprogrammed and exactly where it is on an '04 accord.
Again, thanks. I do appreciate your help.
