05, V5, 6sp, Coupe, Tires Navagation ?
Hi,
I'm Dwayne. Thought I might as well jump in. I've had 6-7 Hondas and an Acura. I spin most of my own wrenches and know the cars pretty well. They are the best! Presently weown a 05 v6 2dr. Just replaced tires @48k with Goodyear Eagle F1 all season. +1 size 225X50X17 All is well, maybe the best tires I've ever owned. Waited for availability on factory sizeand time ran our so Ibought the larger size. No rubbing, better traction, great ride, looks like it should have in the first place. Fast forward a bit. Spedometer is now dead on, use to be about a 1 mph optimistic. I can live with this ok. Fuel consumption in navigation system is down about 10% and mileagedata in navigation system is now different from odometer its less. Real gas mileage is about the same. I have a lap top computer with a navigation system I use in my job, so I know the odometer is correct but the navigation system is off a bit. I assume this is caused from bigger tires. Is there a way to recalibrate the navigation system to adjust for the difference in tire size?Any one have ideas?
Thanks,
