Sorry, should have asked this as well.....auto or manual trans. The auto trans 4cyl in this gen does have an "active" mount system that controls the front engine mount.

It means there is a solenoid controls vac to the mount to help take vibrations out of the car in some situations....mostly at idle when the car is in Drive. Honda has been using this for many years....my 95 auto had it.
Do you have a volt meter and willing to do some tests. I can post the procedures or you can get a manual and follow those. A handheld vac pump is also needed, might be able to rent one?
This pic will show the location of the solenoid and the front mount which is controlled by that solenoid and the PCM.
Again, I'm trying to take what you are telling us in words and trying to come up with the next step in testing.......
