Default 07 Accord Oil level and oil light indicator

Question on low oil light. I have an 07 Accord, 4 cyl EX. 2 days ago, the oil light icon on the dash came on. Immediately check level and it was not even showing so added oil right away. What is odd about this is I change oil at least 2000 miles ago and I would check the oil dipstick regularly like once every 2 weeks. The level stayed the same since I changed the oil. Never went down. So, I am wondering what caused it to drop. Also, since I filled it 2 days ago, I have driven 100 miles and the level has not changed. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Missing oil after 2000 miles means it is either leaking or burning. Look under the car for signs of oil leaks at the bottom of the engine.

Read my post again. There was no change in oil level for 2000 miles then out of the blue it dropped to half (correction). Oil light came on. Then topped off and drovr 100 miles. No change in level. Parked overnight in garage. No oil spots on floor. I just went thru the car. Visually checked around engine, oil filter and drain plug. No sign of leak. Also, changed oil again and changed crush washer. Examined oil that was drained out and no sign of milkiness like maybe gasket breach. Coolant looks fine too. I'm at a loss.

I read your post. You confirmed you lost oil by needing to add oil. Now the question is why? The only ways I see are from an oil leak out of the block or into the coolant system. Or you could be burning oil. Maybe a stuck PCV valve? You'll have to monitor your oil level and keep a few quarts with you to top off. You may want to clean around the engine block to see if you have signs of oil leaking if your oil level drops.

I read this post and it appears the 4 cyl have consumption issues when it gets to certain mileage. I will try this approach:
