RE: '07 accord tranny fluid change
Yeah, the torque converter doesn't drain, so you only get about 1/3 of the fluid each time.
But I'm surprised the manual says that. I thought the manual just says to change it every??? miles or whatever.Theinterval would be often enough to take the partial drain/fill into account.
I've only heard the 3-cycleprocedure recommended for when the fluid is particularly dirty or burned-smelly.

As new as your Accord is, I would only drain & refill once every x number of miles.
I haven't ever changed the fluid in my 95. It has over 120k on it. I need to change it but I've been too lazy. When I go to change it, if the fluid is not too dirty, I'll just drain & refill once.
DO NOT let some stupid pep boys or Midas try to convince you you need a transmission flush. they are just looking for things to charge you for. Besides...they will hook your trans up to a power flushing machine. That will destroy your transmission. If not immediately, it will definitely shorten its life.

I'd follow the manual. My '03 is a 5-speed so I don't pay attention to THAT part of the owner's manual. LOL...
Maybe Honda is learning from their experience& they're no longer claiming that fluids last FOREVER...
