Default 07 manual tranny, am i shifting wrong?

hello folks, '07 v6 EX 6mt coupe with about 50000 miles here. i've owned my accord for about a year now and i still have issues shifting gears smoothly. i'd say about half the times i shift gears, my car jerks forward as if i shifted wrong. it's like the clutch pedal has no "inbetween" when you press it-it's either engaged or not engaged. it feels like my timing's off when releasing the clutch pedal inbetween shifts. i've owned other manual tranny cars before and have never had this problem before. when i took my car in for the 3rd gear synchronizer bulletin issue a few months back, i mentioned my issue to the technician and he said my transmission/clutch pedal is fine. he said all civic/accord manual transmissions have a 'notchy' feel to them when shifting gears. was he telling the truth? this is the first manual tranny honda i've owned so i don't have much to go by.

just be slower when you get the catch point on the clutch.

maybe adjusting your clutch pedal will cure this. im just not sure about newer accords tho.

i did it to my 2000 civic to make the travel lesser when pressing the clutch pedal so sometimes it jerks. or have your timing checked, advanced timing can jerk the car on shifting through gears on low rpms.

goodluck

Inspect the pedal before considering adjusting it. You could adjust it where the clutch is not fully engaged with the flywheel and cause premature wear on the clutch.

Watch this video towards the end to see how to properly adjust the pedal. The adjustment is towards the end.
