1977 civic: classic or junk?

RE: 1977 civic: classic or junk?
I miss living in the Northwest for just that reason. You can find a '71 Pinto in better condition than my '91 Accord for less than $500. I bought a mint 1985 Tempo that ran and drove from an auction for $55. I bought a Subaru Standard in rough shape but it ran and drove for $30. I bought a '91 Sable that was partially wrecked but ran and drove for $40. You cannot find anything around here (Mississippi) that runs and even pretends to drive for less than $1,000 most of the time.
