1987 honda accord hatchback 2 dr/ HELP
hi everyone
One of my friends is haven trouble with her honda maybe someone else has had this before. When the car is cold it will idle smooth... Once it heats up it hunts or revs when it is in park. The car stops hunting or at least a noticable hunt when it is put in drive or reverse.. In neautral it will still hunt... Jay thought it was the temp sensor so that is what was replaced... Also he thought that there might be a blead off valve on the back side of the engine... We can't find it.. Hondas when they have air in the system will hunt like it does but as far as we know it is all bled off with the exception of that one that might be on the backside of the engine.. got any answers drop me a line.

There is a bleed valve on top of the thermostat housing. When the engine is cool, open radiator cap, loosen bleed bolt, allow air to spit out of bleed valve. Once a steady stream of coolant comes out, close bleed bolt, top off radiator.

you left a very important info out, is it lxi ( injected ) or DX- LX ( carb ) ????
first chk as PA advised
if lxi,, remove the cover ( 2 phillip head screws) from the fast idle valve and tighten the black valve on the inside , do not over tighten it ,,use a flat tip screwdriver ,, see if that helps
Also make sure that idle speed is not too high ,,should around 750-800 rpm.. in park or neutral
