1988 Honda Accord LX wont start
Hello,
I have a 1988 Honda Accord LX (carb model) that won't start. Car does crank, there is a fuel smell as well. I have replaced the ignitor (hitachi distributor), distributor cap, and rotor. I did measure the coil resistance and its in within specs but on the low side. I did see a spark from the coil wire to the distributor but no spark at the spark plug side. Should I replace the coil, even though its in specs but not mid-range? What else can I try?
Thanks

I have seen coils with the proper resistance that are still bad.
If you are not getting spark to the plugs, the coil is likelyl bad since you already switched the ICM, dist cap, and rotor.

How the heck did you verify spark between the coil and distributor? I'm pretty sure it's not good for your ignition system to pull the main coil wire and hold it close.
This may be a stupid question, but are you sure you have the right cap and rotor?
