Wife is tired of having the Honda just sitting in the driveway, so I got off my duff today and did the tests with the multimeter that you suggested Red - everything comes up ~12V. The car still goes in and out of charging while the engine is running, and by pushing the alternator plug I can get it to start charging again when it stops. So I'm still stumped as to what could be going wrong.

Sounds like still a problem with either the alternator connector plug terminals or wiring.

Can you take some pictures and post them of the connector plug, terminals, and wiring? That way, maybe you can get fresh eyes on it.
