1990 accord lx clutch pedal? problem
it is a manual 5-speed
so i really dont think its the actual clutch, but today when i got home from school my brother said that the clutch gave out and so i went to check it out well apon inspecting it i noticed that before the clutch almost had a spring feeling like you know if you let go it will "pop" back out but now what happens is the pedal will be completly out and you tap it(not hard) and it will go all the way to the floor. and then you have to pull it back out. so basically there is only two ways the clutch pedal could be posistioned, all the way in or all the way out
let me know what you guys think it could be
also i had the clutch out and car wouldnt start but with the clutch all the way in it would start

what about a snapped brake cable.
what about a snapped brake cable.
99% you have air in the clutch hydraulics, so in the short term you need to bleed the system. In the longer term, air entered the system for a reason, you need to locate the leak and fix it. In the meantime, you'll need to keep a very close eye on the clutch fluid level.

Peel the boot back on hydraulic slave cylinder at transmission bell housing, front of engine, near radiator. If any fluid is present, a new slave cylinder or kit will be needed. If no fluid, look for leaks on back side of master cylinder on firewall beside the brake fluid reservoir. Likely one of them is leaking. Easy fix.
