Default 1990 Honda Accord LX - CEL Codes

I have spent some time looking at threads / info. about checking the CEL codes for my car. I have seen some that said the '90 doesn't have the blue diagnotic connector plug that can be jumped with the paperclip...and others who say it does.

Can anyone confirm which is correct?

I looked and found a blue plug (the only one I can see) on the passenger side side panel...but it doesn't look like I can jump this plug with the connection...I attached some pictures to give you a look.

Is this not the diagnostic plug? Is something missing from it?

Thanks for your help.
AJ

That is the service check connector (scs)/diagnostic plug. You may just have to disconnect/unplug the outer part of the connector first to use a paper clip.

Can't you just stick the paperclip in there as is? The photo looks like you can see the metal pins. All you need is ANYTHING to make electrical contact between the 2 pins.
