Default 1991 ABS pump runs all the time..

Hi. I have a 1991 Accord EX-R ALB. This was the year the ABS assembly was on the passenger side and had it's own reservoir, separate from the main brake reservoir. The ABS works fine, the ABS light isn't on, but the ABS pump comes on (with a heck of a rattling noise) fairly regularly. Today, it was running for about 5 seconds at a time with about a 5 second delay between runs. Other times, it runs more sporadically. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks.

Oh, one other thing. The DRL light is on all the time (until I turn on the low beams) - I've tried 3 different modules (2 of them I soldered as per instructions here) and I still don't get DRL's. Low beams work fine, bu high beams only flash momentarily when activating with the switch - they don't stay on. Any ideas?

Thanks again.

if you can't get your high beams to stay on it may be the combo switch itself... Do you have any check engine lights or ABS light on? will it run that randomly even if it's just sitting at idle? if so you may have a leak somewhere and it's constanly having to re-pressurize but the leak isn't big/bad enough yet to throw a code or cause failure...

Actually, I should have mentioned that. When idling, the pump doesn't run at all. It's only when moving that the pump begins to cycle over and over. The ABS light is not on, and the ABS does work (I tried it on some snow/ice today). Thanks.

The high beams don't stay on AND the DRL's dont' come on either. TheDRL light on the dash stays on until I turn the low beams on with the switch on the stalk.
