1991 Honda Accord EX Wagon Transmission Control Module Issue Sport Light On
#12
Wow! Ok, thanks! If by chance it is a bad ECU, if I buy a used one, does it have to be programmed at a Honda dealer? The TCU I replaced could be a bad one as well. It didn't have to be flashed. It was plug and play. Thanks again!

We are the 2nd owners of a 1992 LX wagon with 187k on chassis and engine. We have to get a rebuilt tcm ($75.00 to hook up to a diagnostic machine says so). The real question is where do we go to get a replacement (rebuilt) tcm? Apparantly OKItelecom is no longer doing this and Auto Computer Exchange, in Davie, Fla. has many disgruntled excustomers writing reviews for them. Module Master, in Moscow, Idaho has some good reviews in Edmund's. Anyone know where we can get a tcm without headaches and/or ulcers in the near future? Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the info, Poorman. We just got back the remanufactured tcm, plugged it in, pulled the back up fuse for 20 seconds then went for a ride. Great, at first, then the battlewagon seemed to kick out of OD every so often at a steady 55mph on semi level roads. Get home and just as I'm about to put it in Park, the D4 light started to flash constant (again). I'm getting ready to call Module Master to see how good their 5 yr. warranty is(?). We're not at wit's end, yet, but it is a 1992 and we aren't exactly able to go out to buy another car. So, can it be something else that's causing the tcm to make the D4 light to flash or is there a better than 50% chance the rebuilt tcm is still not fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
