Default 1993 Accord Shift Cable -- Appreciate your help!!!

I have a 1993 Honda Accord DX with automatic transmission. Recently I began to have trouble shifting into and from the parking gear (very hard but still doable). I took the car to a garage and was told that the shift cable needed to replaced for $270 (lable $90 + parts $180). They also said if it were a 1992 Accord the parts would be a lot cheaper (around $90), but a 1993 Accord uses a very different (so much more expensive) shift cable.

I also searched in Ebay but found that someone was selling the OEM version of the cable (brand new) that can be used for all 1990-1993 Accord for only $40 (the seller is very confident that the part can be used for a 1993 Accord). What an amazing difference compared to that $180!

So I'm only wondering if anyone has the experience working with Honda Accord shift cables. Does a 1992 Accord use the same shift cable as a 1993 one? Has anyone tried such kind of OEM parts? I don't really care if the part is genuine Honda. I would go for that OEM thing on Ebay if it can be used.

I really appreciate your help/suggestion. Please provide some information that can help a college student who has to do food delivery in order to make ends meet. Thank you all!
