Default 1993 no start

OK, so now that the cooling issue is resolved, the car will not start now. It cranks over fine and tries to fire but will not start and stay running. I did clean the AIC and cleaned and adjusted the FITV. I also checked the starting valve and it will not hold a vacuum. I checked it with a Mityvac, according to the repair manual it should hold a vacuum. Could this be the problem? Or is it the AIC or FITV that could be causing the issue? Plugs, wires, cap are all almost new, so I'm not thinking it is an ignition issue.

Regarding AIC or FITV, suggest trying to start w/ slightly cracked throttle. If this causes a good start, then these parts may be at fault. Both seem to be non-performing.

Suggest attempting to start w/ starter fluid or throttle body cleaner sprayed into throttle body intake. A good long 3-5 second shot. Immediately start car. If it runs for a few secs and dies, then ignition is OK and fuel delivery is problem. If it fails to start, you have lack of spark.

Confirm no spark w/ an inductive timing light attached to one lead. Turn engine over, no flash or missing flashes means no or intermittent spark.

good luck

Ok, tried the part throttle start. Still will not stay start or run. It fires but that is it.

I'll try the starting fluid later, have to go pick some up. Also will check spark. I didn't have these issues before cleaning the IAC. Figured it was the FITV so cleaned that and adjusted it too. Still didn't fix it.

Double check all of your wrk, not too much has to be removed to get to those but if the wire connector isn't on........

Could it be somewhat flooded? by now I would think the cleaner would be gone, had to ask.

I'll go over everything again. Also, I let the parts sit for at least 30 minutes before re installing them. I'd think the cleaner had dissipated by then.
