Default 1993 No Start, Fuel Pump seems ok

So I have a 93 dx, and while driving the other night (cold weather, heat was on) it just died at a stop sign. I Put my ear up to the gas tank door at the time, and Im fairly confident the pump runs when the key is turned. Now I heard about alot of Main relay issues, but if the pump is running, that wouldnt be the relay right? The engine just cranks n cranks. Odd too because it came out of no where. Thanks for any input.

Next thing to check is if you have spark... check the DIY section.

Ok so no spark, tested a plug on 3 diff grounds n saw nothing, which would make more sense as to why is just instantly died.

What you can try is sanding the cap and rotor contacts in the distributor and see if it'll start up. Other things to check are the cap and coil and if power is getting to the distributor, instructions can be found in the DIY on the main HAF page.

Well everything seemed ok, except the test for the Igniter. I hooked up a test light to the injector and got a blinking light, which according to some paper work i pulled up for Honda/Acura Ignition Trouble Shooting, signaled a bad igniter. Now I dont know much about them, but can a bad igniter mean no spark?

Ill most likely run some more test tomorrow, Id rather hang myself than buy a part thinkin its the one, only to be wrong. But then again, I dont wanna have it towed to the shop, only to replace the part that I knew was broken.

If your timing belt snapped, you would have heard colossal damage being done to your engine. If the timing belt slipped a few teeth it would've ran poorly, not die.

We've already figured out you don't have spark, signs point to the igniter being toast. Might as well head to the junkyard and pick up a new distributor...

Do you have 30 minutes? Do you have a 12mm socket and 6" extension?

I dunno what else to tell you... park the car and not drive it until it gets fixed?
