Redbull-1 - did you ever test out your speedo fix?
Also, there is a person, a tech for Honda, that will repair these for like ~$75 shipped. Meaning he will fix yours and send it back.
For the noise, check the lube on the clutch pedal "bushing" where the pedal "spins" on the shaft inside the car.

Hi Friend,
No, I never got to test it. The nephew I gave my Accord to, just bought another car. They may or may not keep the Accord.
For you, if you ever want the speedo head with that part replaced, let me know in PM and I will ship to you free. I will also pay shipping.

He is a Honda technician who is an electrical specialist named Justin. He can repair TCU, speedometers, etc., you can check with him to get some ideas regarding pricing.

Since your odo/trip meter doesn't work, which is mechanical, Justin may or may not be able to do any about it. He may be able to make another unit match the mileage you currently have; but, you have to contact him.
He usually does the electrical repair portion of the circuit board, which is separate from the mechanical portion of the odo.

Again, I would give the maint reminder and trip reset a good "spirited" reset and try again.....I had a 3rd gen where the trip would not reset unless I was moving....had to reset it as I was pulling away from the "gas pump" at ~5 mph.
Redbull-1...message sent...Thanks
