1994 honda accord ex with issues
Hi yall, I'm new at this so please bear with me. I have had my 1994 Honda Accor EX for 9 months. After I bought it the transmission started slipping. It does it really bad when going up hills from a stand still. It goes up hills fine as long as i have a little speed behind me. It revs up really bad when you touch the gas after slowing down to turn. I just needed to see if there was anything else besides the transmission that would cause this problem.
Also, just recently it stared doing some strange stuff with the electrical. for a whole week every time I started the car up the windshield wippers came on and would stay on unles i left the door ajar. Now that problem has quit(for good I hope), my brake light wont go off. I dont know much about cars and I dont have much money to spend so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Not much for the trans....check fluid level, last changed? Pretty odd for this gen (94-97) to have issuese but the do happen. If it is bad, a used one with low miles might be an option-weigh the options and cost.
For the brake lights, check to be sure the "plug/stopper" for the brake light switch is still there. Common issue is that plastic stopper will break after ~10 years...they are ~$4 at the dealer...46505-SA5-000 is the part number at the dealer.
If the plugs is there and making contact with the switch, test the switch.

thanks for the advice. the brake light went off today. guess I'll wait and see if it comes back on.
After I bought the car I had the transmission flushed and the filter changed. I was better for about 4 months then started slipping again. I may take your advice and get a used transmission, definitly the cheaper way to go. Thanks again!
