1994 honda accord ex wont start
ok i have a 94 accord ex as stated in the title lol....my timing belt snapped on me and bent 6 valves...sent the head off got it back put everything back together...car won't start...i kno timing is set dead on but the car set for over a month while i saved up the money to fix it...i think i have bad gas so i put some heet in it...hoping i dont have to drain the tank because its full lol....when i try and crank it then turn the key off i see white smoke inside the valve cover is that good or bad?

sounds like something went wrong putting it back together or more happend to it when the belt broke...gas won't go bad in a month. all you can do is double check your work, but no smoke white or otherwise should be coming out of the valve cover...

well i checked the grounds and they seem fine..and i plugged everything back where it went because i labeled that much...i thought maybe i had timing a little off but just went and reset it to be safe and still nothing...as soon as i can get someone to come over i will double check for spark...but after a few seconds of trying to crank it and then i stop...it sound like it might be back firing what could that be from?

well ii just checked and i kno im getting spark....im gonna go get some starting fluid tomorrow and see if that will start it...today i double checked all the plugs and made sure timing was set...i am getting fuel to the fuel rail but not sure if the pressure is right.

So the starter is working properly?
How did you test for spark?
Did you check the compression on each cylinder?
If you line up the crankshaft to TDC, does the rotor in the distributor point to the #1 spark plug wire on the distributor cap?
Do you have the firing order set to 1, 3, 4, 2?
Have you checked for engine codes?

i havent checked the compression because i dont have the tool...how do i tell if the distributor is set to the #1 spark? i do have the firing order right tho.im gonna check codes tomorrow that totally slipped my mind

Turn the engine by hand to get the car to TDC. There is a mark on the crank pulley that may still be white that you lineup with the pointer on the timing belt cover. Remove the distributor cap with the spark plug wires still attached. See if the tip of the rotor is pointing towards the #1 spark plug wire.
