Default 1994 is ridiculously loud

I don't know a lot about cars, so I am praying some of you can help me with this.

For the last few months, my 1994 Accord has been running well. The only weird thing is that the engine has been louder than normal when I'm accelerating between 40mph to 60mph. Between these speeds, it just sounded as if the engine was struggling a bit.

Today, after I got 10 feet from my driveway, something happened. Suddenly the car sounded very loud. The best way I can describe it is that it sounded like a souped-up muscle car. A very low, very loud rumbling sound. I immediately pulled back into the driveway and turned the car off. At first I thought it was a muffler problem, but I checked under the car and things seemed to be in order. Also, it sounded like the noise was coming from under the hood.

I don't know if my current problem is related to the 40-60mph thing that I described earlier, but I figured I would mention it anyhow.

Any advice that you guys can give me would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It still sounds like something broke along the exhaust pipe.

Check the pipes from the exhaust manifold to the muffler for a cracks.
