There are many used modulators available for < $100 due to popularity of 94-97 models. Also Acura 2.2CL's to 97have same modulator.

You can easily swap motor from a used unit to your modulator. I did this in reverse, swapping motor from an internal leaking modulator (97 Acura 2.2CL) to a used modulator to achieve a working unit. It's been working 2+ yrs now.

The 94-97modulators are problematic, but if you get a good one they'll last. I have the original in my 94EX and it still works and has never leaked. I rarely have occasion for ABS to function, so last year I took out on a back road and really hit brakes hard to get ABS to function andit worked fine.

good luck

Thanks, Itdoes look like my best option is to purchase a used unit and try it. I will keep my old one and see what if any parts are still ok, just in case the used one needs any. I'll write back with results. Thanks again

Did you get the codes stored in the ABS control unit as Sir Nasty asked earlier?

This is what I got when I checked for codes. I was told this means code 1-2. Put jumper wire in, turn ign. on, 1 flash of the (ABS light )thentwo second pause, one more flash, then after five seconds or so I got 2 quick flashes.

How can I erase any codes or all codes and try and see if the pump runs?

Sorry about that. I thought that you were the poster with the 2000 accord. If you go to http://www.dhost.info/accordinfo/ you can download a 94 shop manual from the pdfs at the bottom of the page. You will have all of the information you need about testing the ABS system for a 1-2 code.

If you want to clear all the codes, pull the 7.5 amp radio (backup) fuse in engine bay fuse box for a minute. You will need to reenter your radio code for the radio to work.

Codes are reset each time the ABS turns on, so when they come back it means the fault is still present. When you repair, there is no need to reset for same reason.

BTW, try car-part.com to find a used modulator near you. Go by and inspect. If it's rusty from continued rain exposure, pass on by. This is what killed the motor on the unit I had to scavenge to make work.

good luck
