I like to take one at a time.....where do you want to start? Really the dash seem the easiest to me.....and as asked, please add your car info to your signature and then display said signature.


Pull the dimmer for the dash lights, test the three wires while the "headlights" are on. Tell us what you have on the BLK, Red/Blk and Red.

 

i did.

well i fixed the spedomter and tripmeter by myself...


now all i have is a srs light and the dash lights


( havent had time to check, been helping a friend move and build a fence..)

okay finally pulled the dimmer out. the black wire had nothing and the other two were good.

what does that mean?

What did you do?
Lights on, lights off
what read on each wire.

Just saying 2 were good and one had nothing means nothing.

I do not even understand what you are saying.

Please if you want our time then give us some of your time and explain yourself clearly.

im using a test light i dont have a voltmeter nearby....

the black wire had nothing...

the solid red wire lit up

the black and red wire lit up

both with headlights on...

 

another update, i ran a wire from the red wire that goes into the dimmer switch and ground it off.. now i have lights..


now i need to know how to remove the cluster to replace the lights

What lights do you need to replace in the cluster?

also type the words "how to remove cluster" in the search bar on top of the page and you should find a detailed write-up on how to remove it.

 

Were some lights burned out?

Which wire did you ground to get them to work? It sounds like you have a faulty dimmer switch.

 

yes i have quite a few that are burnt out. the p/o had stated that there were a few when he last had the dash working.

i am going to a junkyard and try and find one in good shape.


i tied into the red/blk wire that goes into the dimmer ( i think)
