Default 1995 accord getting poor gas mileage

My friends 2000 accord 4d auto, ac./ps/pw and is getting about 22-23mpg. Hes'been to the dealer
for tune up plugs etc. all checks out. Anyone know of some obscure thing were overlooking?

My 88 accord gets about 30mpg.

It does have a roof rack but it only seemed to drop the mpg by 1-2.

Thanks, Duane

make sure the engine is running at theproper temperature. When the cooling system is functioning properlycombustion will bevery efficient. If it is not then your gas mileage will suffer.

clogged or dirty egr ports may affect it as well... I'm assuming on the tune up that they did the air filter as well?
