1996 Honda Accord: Temp gauge not functional
Hello all,
My temperature gauge is not working properly. it wont register any temperatures until the car is running about 10/15 minutes, and then its only in the bottom blue bar. I've replaced the Coolant Temperature Sending Unit, and that didn't do squat... anything I can do about this, or am i gonna have to take it to a shop?
thanks,

The test for the guage;
Key off, ground the single pin connector at the temp sensor, get in the car turn the key on.
The gauge needle should swing to HOT. Shut off the key before the needle pegs out at the Hot mark.
Also consider that a stuck open T-stat can cause the temp to be low, though usually the temp will get up after some running time.
Do the cooling fans cycle after the engine sits at idle for 10 minutes or so?

@jimsblake
I replaced the one under the distributor, it had 2 pins and it was yellow with a brass fitting that the coolant flowed over.
I didn't see any other connectors that had one pin, just two aquamarine colored ones that were about 1.5x the size of the one mentioned above, and both of those have 2 pins.
thanks for the help,
