RE: 1998 accord LX 2 door - power wire for amp
i agree with prior posts. Im not sure what year your accord is but my battery is on the passenger side of the car. I would pull up passeger side carpet and try to get a hole as high as possible and as far to the rightso you can run the wire back along the passenger door channels. watch for wiring harnesses, brake lines, etc ...on both sides of firewall before you drill.
Oh yes, MAKE SURE to use rubber groments where the wire passes and definatly put a fuse on the wire "as close to the battery as possible". A simple fender bender can pinch the wire at the firewall and cause electrical havoc or fire. A fuse (at the battery) will protect a potential ground

Push it through a bit below and closer to the drivers side front wheel from the steering column. If you can get your arm in, up to your elbow in the top corner of the engine bay, you should find the grommet. This also gives you a clear path to the battery.
Not the best pic for this, but you can see my main lead. It continues, covered with that black wrap for protection over the strut tower and points to the area that you need to stuff your arm into to find the grommet. Good luck!
