I just signed up on this website. Awesome site though. Didn't know a forum like this existed. :-)

I'm new to DIY kind of things on my car. I've so far replaced my battery and that's it.

I'm not sure if replacing the headlight bulb on my car (99 Accord 4dr) would be a huge project or would it be as simple as removing couple of screws. Please help me.

welcome to the forum! blub replacement is SUPER easy once you've done it once.... The first time can feel a bit tricky but you'll kick your rear end after you figure it out... Ah how I remember my first time... *L* So anyway, get the bulb (9005, 9006 are common sizes for high or low beams) DON'T TOUCH THE GLASS PART OF THE BULB... the oils from your hands can affect the life of halogen bulbs on that glass part so just handle it by the base and you're fine, pop the hood, you'll see a little rubber boot covering the back of the assembly, that just pops/pulls off, then the harness just slides off, now there is a little kind of spring loaded wire that holds the bulb in place, there should be a small part kind of sticking up just push down and then up on that and you'll feel it come loose, if not then just play with it and inspect it you'll get it, now the bulb just comes out (may require a small amount of rotation one direction or the other)

Assembly is just the reverse!!

Does the same procedure apply to the 2001 Accord? I need to replace a low beam bulb.

for 98-02 models it is the same way to change them its very easy!!!

 

Thanks for the update. It seems the hardest part in replacing a low beam bulb is refitting the rubber waterproofing gaiter. :-)
