1999 Honda Accord cutting out for a instant at highway speeds
I have a 1999 Honda Accord LX. Randomly, it will just "turn off" at highway speeds, just for an instant. The spedometer and RPM will suddenly drop and then come right back up. Runs fine for a while and then happens again. It died completely once at a stop sign, but started right back up. It happened several times over a couple of days, and then not again even once in the last 2 weeks.
A friend of mine also has a 1999 Accord LX which is doing the same thing, so it must be a common problem. His has progressed to dying completely all of a sudden, and he'll pull over where it will start right back up. Anyone know what is happening?

It sounds like a problem with the electrical portion in the ignition switch. You should call your local Honda dealership and find out if the ignition switch recall was done on your car.
Try shaking the key with the engine running (car in park) and see if the car will stall out.

Like PAhonda stated, problem sounds like the electrical portion of the ignition switch.

Just know that even if the switch has been replaced before that does not mean it is not the switch. They didn't upgrade the switch so even the replacement switch could be bad.
If it has not been done before, the dealer should cover this under the recall for free.
