Default 2000 Accord tranny-need help

ok ... i know that it has been asked before time and time again. i havent been able to find a clear cut answer or guide to fixing the problem. The problem is the typical slipping between 1st and second gear. the most information i've found is the "linear solenoid assembly" being the problem.

can anyone please make this the specific answer as to what is the problem, and exactly how i can fix the Solenoid assembly. i am at a loss, and i dont trust some of these transmission repair people.

also can someone post a link as to where to buy the piece?

When it comes to the transmissions, Accord V-6 & Accord 4-cyl may as well be COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CARS. Since you didn't tell us which...??

www dot hondaautomotiveparts dot com
click PARTS
put in your car's information
select "AT Sensor-Solenoid" for the parts group

That shows a picture of the parts. It DOES NOT prove that the solenoid is the real problem. You may want to do some troubleshooting before throwing parts at it.

Well, really I hope someone else chimes in to help. I'm kinda clueless about automatic trannys. I've always bought manual trannys.

I wish I could help too, but I don't know the first thing about transmissions so i won;t pretend I do.

I have always heard if anything goes wrong with a 98-02 automatic trans you are probably going to need to rebuild or replace though.....

well i got off the with Honda, they told me to get my car inspected by a local dealer and to get back to them with the results.
I have an appointment Friday morning with the dealership. Evidently the warranty extension may still be open and they may be able to help me with the problem im describing. i can only hope they can .... but never the less i'm still looking for help from anyone here ...

and i'll keep everyone posted.
