2000 Accord Transmission Problem
i have a 2000 honda accord se with 143000 miles i had the tranny replaced by honda at 105000 miles. currently the tranny has been shifting hard and shifting late. it only does it in the morning... after the tranny is warm you couldnt tell there was a problem at all. iv been told its the lock up solenoid. or the linear solenoid. would that be one of the problems?

I moved your post to a new thread. It gets confusing when two people post questions about a car problem on the same thread. Read the sticky post on the gen tech help forum going over some of the rules.
Does the check engine light or the D4 light turn on or start flashing when driving? Stop by a parts store and have them read any codes. Post the codes on here. They start with the letter P and have four numbers, like P1234.
Is your transmission due for a fluid change? Did you use Honda automatic transmission fluid?

If the linear solenoids failed electrically it will set a code, if it failed hydraulically then you can't really check it yourself, but transmission shop could check it by using pressure gauge and tap into the pressure port and get the reading for idle and stall test to determine if the pressure is still within spec.

I have the exact same issue in my 98 with 68k miles. Has done it for at least 10-15k miles since my grandma had it. Saw a post on here where someone took the solenoid off the front of the trans and cleaned the screens because they were real dirty. I took mine off but they were clean so it makes me think the solenoid is sticking in the morning. The colder it is the longer it does it, but fine the rest of the day. Only after sitting a while. The only thing is if it was a $50 part I would just chance it and replace it, but it is a $250 part. Not sure I want to just "try" it....lol. I too was wondering if a shop could check that...hmmmm...wonder what they would charge.
