2000 Accord V6 Timing Belt Job: Harmonic Balancer bolt WON'T Budge, Will it break?
I have a 2000 honda accord coupe (V6). I took it to a friend of mine who has a backyard garage to do a tiing belt job. He called me later on that day and said the car was all put back together but no timing belt because they couldn't break this bold loose and didn't wanna put any more pressure on it and risk it snapping as he isn't bonded. My question is, what is the likely hood of this bad boy snapping under the use of a heavy duty impact gun? I know these are histrocially b!tches to get off but I don't want to be stuck with a major repair bill if this thing breaks. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

That bolt is notorious, and there's lots of stories about using 4-foot pipes over the end of the wrenches. And using huge powerful air-impact wrenches. Rare to hear of the bolt itself breaking. But I've never owned a V-6 Accord, so I can only assume it's the same.
Remove the plastic inner fender liner so you don't have to use any extensions for the socket. Extensions reduce the torque that's transmitted to the bolt. Deep sockets also reduce the torque, so get a normal (not deep) socket.
