2000 Accord - Won't start/No CEL/Fried ecu?
Hi,
I have a 2000 Honda Accord that won't start. The issue began when the CEL came on and I tried jumpering the data link connector. I initially jumpered the wrong pins (1, 12), but did not turn on the ignition. I reverified the pin numbers and jumpered the correct pins (8. 13) then turned on the ignition and realized there was no check engine light. Now, when I go to turn the ignition, no check engine light is visible at startup. I can't hear the fuel pump prime either and the engine just cranks and does not start. Does this equate to a fried ECU? If so, can a dealership diagnose the ECU if I remove it from the car and bring it in? Any suggestions on debugging or links to circuit diagrams for the data link connector would be appreciated.

According to diagram I have pin 1 is not used and 12 is ground, so jumpering those should not cause a problem.
I was not aware that new OBD2 systems would blink codes. What is source of your information?
good luck
