Question 2001 Accord Ex.. Passenger Side Mirror Wiring

Help!!
Passenger side mirror on my accord my ripped off from the car and the wiring along with the connector is gone. I was left with two wires. I purchased an aftermarket mirror which fits the car really well. My problem is.. The new mirror comes with 3 wires...Since I was only left with wires from my original mirror, i cut the connector from the new mirror and figured I would connect the wires and it would work. At first, I had side to side movement from the control panel. After a short while, I had no movement at all and then i noticed the driver's side mirror now only moves from top to bottom... I checked the fuse and everything seemed ok... Any ideas as to what I need to do?? than

The three wires that were initially there were coming from the power mirror switch. You may have to take off the passenger side door panel and cut away at some of the heat shrink tubing on the mirror wire harness to trace the broken wire. Then splice a new section of wire up to the mirror.

Even without the door panel off, you might want to start cutting away some of the heat shrink tubing that's shown in your pictures, if you're lucky, you may already see part of the torn third wire.

If I am not mistaken there were only two wires from the old mirror. The new mirror is the one that came in with three wires.

Most wiring diagrams show three wires for those generation Accords. I'll see if I can anything further.

This ebay used OEM passenger mirror also shows 3 wires.

"http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-00-01-02-HONDA-ACCORD-RH-RIGHT-HAND-PASSENGER-SIDE-VIEW-MIRROR-POWER-/250982575113?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &fits=Year%3A2001|Model%3AAccord&vxp=mtr&hash=item 3a6fba2c09"

I would think that the wire harness and connector from the car to the mirror would also have 3 wires.

Redbull, Thank you very much for your response and your input. I looked at the other mirror and you are certainly right, there are three wires from the car to the mirror. I will do what you mentioned and search for the other wire. hopefully this will fix my issue. I will keep you posted. Once again, I appreciate your help.
