2001 Honda Accord LX A/C trigger when change air flow to "DEFROST" position.
I have a 2001 Honda Accord LX, when I turn on the heat and set the air flow to defrost or defrost/feet position it trigger the A/C to turn on too and sometimes my LCD clock just keep flickering and then the clock were off. I removed the radio and check the wires everything appear to be good conditions, does anyone have any clue what's going on? I appreciate any helps
Thanks

Welcome!
The AC is supposed to come on when you select defrost, to dehumidify the air. You CAN switch it off, unlike the 2003+ cars where you're unable to switch it off.
The LCD clock is probably a separate issue. Is it the illumination that flickers, or the digits themselves?

Is that right? wow, I didn't know that was normal, I though something's wrong with it, this is the first Honda I ever owned. . .
As for the clock, I don't really know how to explain it, sometimes it just start flickering on/off and all the clock elements lit up and went off, etc, if I punch the dash near the clock sometimes it stop for a few minutes.
