2004 accord 2.2 ictdi problem
Hi all I'm a new member and i didn't know that this site existed until i started to look around for a solution to my problem.
I have a 2004 accord 2.2 ictdi and it's been a brilliant car that I've been very happy with but just lately I've developed this problem. While driving the car seemed to be pulling back slightly it felt as though i was touching the brake and now sometimes the engine management light and the vsa light comes on at the same time and i lose power after turning the ignition off and on a few times i regain power the vsa light goes off and i can drive again. I'm taking it in for repair but don't want to be stung for cost by someone telling me that it's something that it isn't so if any one's got any ideas as to what the problem might be i would be very grateful thanks.

Welcome!
I hope someone from UK can chime in, because we can't even buy the diesel engine here in USA.
If it were actually dragging brakes, I don't think it would be on & off again. But you can rule out dragging brakes by coasting to a stop in neutral (don't be stupid in heavy traffic). You should be able to feel dragging brakes especially at the end when the car is nearly stopped.

Honda of America must have decided that Americans dont like diesel engines. Same way they've decided that Americans don't like station wagons. (Sorry, estate or shooting brake or whatever you call them)
Same reason you can't buy a USA Accord - we get a different car that's bigger than the Swindon Accord.

Hi Philjory.
I am having the exact same problem with my 2005 model, feel like someone is shirt pulling you from behind, if that makes sense.. I did find that if I lost power completely I could switch the ignition off and restart a Minuite later and it would drive but the issue comes back gradually. Do you know if the cam sensor can be replaced by an enthusiast or are super special tools required?
Thanks Daz.
