Default 2004 Accord V6 Auto Key Sometimes Won't Come Out

Hey guys. I'm new here. We recently had the Transmission rebuilt our 2004 Honda Accord V6 Automatic. Since the first day I've noticed that the ignition won't turn completely to off to release the key. I have to either mover the shifter down and up or turn on the car and move it.

It doesn't always do it. The transmission is always on "P" and the car doesn't move as it would if it was on another gear. Is there a sensor or cable that might need adjustment?

Thanks

It sounds like maybe the gear selector cable needs to be adjusted?

There is a sensor under the shifter that is either going bad or not lining up properly. Had that happen in my old 4th gen Accord. So long ago (sold that car in '04) that I'm pretty fuzzy on what the actual part is called.
