2004 Accord vibrates between 55-60mph on acceleration
Greetings:
The vibration occurs only when the car is accelerating between 55-60mph and then it goes away. There are no issues at any other speeds. Although, the steering wheel feels fine and smooth, I feel the vibration within the rest of the car. I've also had a rotate & balance done, but it didn't help.
It's an 04 Accord 55K miles, 4cyl, auto. The tires are still new and I recently had the front rotors and rear brake drums resurfaced.
p.s. I've done searches on this site, but have not seen any definitive answers yet.
Thanks....

Any worn suspension component could cause a problem.
I would check for loose ball joints by putting the front of the car on jack stands, turning the steering wheel until it locks. Try to push/pull the tire at 3/9 and 6/12 o'clock. There should be very little give. If there is, try to find the source of the movement.
Also inspect the boots for the CV joints for tears and grease leaking as in your links to honda-tech (which I removed).

The vibration started last month right after my extended warranty expired . I don't feel it in the steering wheel. It's down near my feet especially where my knee touches the center console. If I take my foot off the gas (or shift to neutral) the vibration stops.....

i would have to agree with Jim,,sounds like inner cv joint issue ( worn or lack of grease) ,,,,,,,,,,pull the inner cv boot back, ( remove the clamp of course),, stuff the inner joints with axle grease ,re-clamp the cv boots and test drive it , see if that helps ,,

Are the cv joints replaceable? I've only seen parts for the entire cv axle shaft assembly....
