there is a TSB regarding your issue, 04-027, Honda increase the warranty time to 7 years 100k, just enough for you not to be included (timewise)

Thank you Jeff , Do you mean there was a recall? My daughter traided her new car in for this one to the origional toyota dealership to lower her payments.She is making payments to the same dealership on this accord. Do you think if there was a recall on it should the dealership honor it? thanks db

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin
it's written to inform dealer mechanics about anything.

Sometimes it IS about a recall, so the TSB says it's a recall campaign. Sometimes the TSB is just to give all the mechanics some useful information. Like maybe information about a particular method to repair something. That doesn't mean it's a recall, or doesn't mean in IS or IS NOT covered by warranty.

You should be able to call ANY Honda dealer and tell them the VIN. They will be able to look up whether any recalls apply to that car; and/or whether they've already been done. The Toyota dealer might not know about them.
