Not sure what our kid did, he kept playing with the child lock to 'lock' people in the car. Now the driver side rear door is always on child lock.

Anyone have the schematic or what to look at first? I imagine a rod/linkage popped or jammed.

first, big LOL! he'll end up being a engineer or rocket scientist! next, it doesn't look like the saftey mechanism is separate from the the latch assy. you may be able to fix it, but regardless, you'll have to pull the panel to start either way. fix or replace latch assy.

 

Thanks, hopefully I can fix it...my local honda has a bunch of toolbags. Was told using a non-factory honda key is extremely dangerous when I wanted them to cut one for me that I transfered her transponder too.
