Exclamation 2005 Accord Cranks But No Turn Over

Hello all,

So my 7th gen accord stop working last night. It cranks but won't turn over. The battery has a car and even when it was hooked up to jumper cables, still no spark. Also the gear position indicator on the dash isn't lit up when the car is turn to the II position. The brake pedal is hard to touch and I can't shift out of park without the override button. Lastly I tried to connect my scanner to check for CELs but it got to 96% and said communication error, can not establish link with engine Please Help!!!!

Do your brake lights work when you push the gas pedal?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say cranks but won't turn over. Is the starter spinning the engine when you turn the key?

Yes my brake lights, but not when I press the gas pedal. If I press the brake pedal they come on yes. When I turn the key the starter spins and the engine cranks but doesn't turn over meaning the engine doesn't ignite or spark like its not getting fuel.

Sorry, I mis-typed. I mean do the brake lights work when you press the brake pedal.

The brake pedal being tough to push is normal when the engine is not running.

I noticed the green key flashing. Take a look in your owner's manual to see if the key flashing means your have an immobilizer issue where the engine computer is not recognizing the key. Try using a different key as well.
