2005 Accord EX-L, Will not enter programing mode
Hello All,
I have a 2005 Honda Accord, EX-L 4 door sedan 3.0 , that will not enter FOB program mode. (Turning Ign Switch to II "ON", pressing lock on remote, switching back to "OFF" - repeat 4 times and bada-bing!) I was told to change the multiplex unit (fuse-box / driver side) - so I have replaced it twice with units pulled from other working Honda Accords - compatible with my VIN and model.
But, this has not solved the issue - and the car does not enter programing mode.
I've tried after market remotes from Xhorse, using programing tools and this still does not work.
Before I give up hope and just live with it, I came across this page and though I give it a shot.
Sincerely,
JR

The cause can also be due to the driver's door multiplex control unit (mcu) (the receiver antenna for the keyless system and mcu is part of the driver's power window master switch). The driver's door mcu is part of the car's multiplex integrated control system and communicates with the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) located and is an integrated part of the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box. -- Both control units are required for a properly functioning keyless entry system.
