2005 Accord V6 Check Engine Light Flash
Recently I changed the headlight bulbs on my 2005 Accord EX V6 Auto sedan to the Sylvania Silverstarr brand. They sure make a big difference compared to OEM. Anyways, in order to change the driver side bulb I had to disconnect and remove the battery so I can get at the bulb. Since then, I noticed that anytime I accelarate hard aka RPMs exceed 5k, the check engine light flashes for a while then goes away. It has happened twice so far. I am aware that when you disconnect the battery, the car's computer takes time to reset. Is this normal, or do I need to take it to a mechanic to find out if there is a malfunction? Otherwise, the car runs great. If I dont accelerate like a maniac, the check engine light does not come at all. Any thoughts anyone?

RE: 2005 Accord V6 Check Engine Light Flash
I finally got around to taking the Accord to the dealer. I have warranty that covers me. The dealer found fault code P0301 "Small carbon crack on the #1 sparl plug causing a misfire". Dealer changed the plug, picked car, and guess what??? Check engine light on again if I were to drive it hard. Taking it back tom. Anyone else have similar problem like this?

I took it back. The technician pulled the coil for number 1 cylinder and put it on number 5 cylinder. Cylinder 5 came up in check engine light. Dealer replaced coil and car runs fine. Problem solved at zero out of pocket for me.
