As a general rule, all of the 5-Speed Honda automatic transmissions for V6 Accords through 2007, and all 5-Speed automatic transmissions from V6 Acura models (think the TL) through 2006 will fit your car. That said, that doesn't necessarily mean they are the best transmission for your application. It is generally considered the BAYA transmission from the 2006 and 2007 V6 Accords is the very best of the H5 Automatics which are bolt compatible with your car (there is a newer H5 from the 2007 and 2008 Acura TLs, but they have a very different bolt pattern). In your case, I'd look for a U.S. built BAYA transmission as your first priority, and failing that, I'd be looking for a MAYA (supposedly the Japanese built version of the BAYA). Failing either of those two, it is a crap shoot on how long the used transmission will last.

All of the 5-Speed automatics are classified as H5 automatics. Your 2005 V6 Accord has one.
