2005 Honda Accord EX Coupe HVAC blower issue
Hello All, I have been lurking here and other places but yet to get decent advice on what to do.
No matter what mode I select, floor, front, defrost, my vents only blow air out of the front/main vents. I am worried about this for winter time when the windshield will start to fog up.
I ran the HVAC diagnosis test and got errors K & L:
K: A problem in the driver's air mix control linkage, door, or motor
L: A Short or open in the mode control motor circuit
I am thinking L is my main issue, but I am not sure.
I have the V6 model without navi. It does have dual climate control. I can get heat and a/c. Not seeing any issues with temperature (reading this is sometimes an issue). It's just the direction of the airflow.
Do I need to replace the mode motor? Where is it? Any other ideas?

For code K you'll have to test the drivers air mix control motor and if it checks out than more than likely the control panel is bad...if not, you'll need a new mode control motor assy.
For code L the testing is very involved and you'll need to be good with multimeters and test lights as well as reading pinout diagrams.
If you're confident with this, I suggest getting a repair manual.
Maybe someone else has had a similar problem and had luck changing out parts, but then...it's still a crap shoot.
