Default 2005 LX Coupe Master Window Switch - Plug-n-Play ?

The Drivers window switch has been kinda funky for many ~years~.
Its been getting worse - intermittently not working, 'pulsing/clicking' by it self (often), not operating the passenger window any more - weird stuff.
By the way, the locks have worked fine.

I finally got tired of this - when two windows don't work in a sedan, its one thing, but in a coupe, ....

Anyway, I took the step of getting a new(used) part off of eBay (about $100).
I replaced the whole switch. It didn't seem to fix the window issue, and then I had no remote door locking.
I put the old master switch back in, and now I am back where I was when I started.

Should that have been a plug-n-play replacement? Is there something else we would need to do?

Thanks....
...Mike

It is plug and play. When you change out the master switch you have to pair the remotes/key to it. It is very simple and YouTube has a few videos. If you swapped it out and your windows still didn't work then you either bought a bad switch ($100 is too much even for new) or your motors are bad and need replacing.

Grab some basic tools and head to junkyard..less than $10...we have 23 2003-2007 accord's here...plus you get factory OEM parts.

Did it fix the problem? Do you have to do the relearn for the key to work?

If you have remote unlock you will need to do a relearn unless you swap the module out. It's very simple to do and takes less than 2 mins. YouTube it to see instructions.

A) Relearn seems to be related to up/down positions, correct ?

I was worried, because...

B) I swapped it in, abut then my remote key locks stopped working - that had never been an issue before, so i put the old unit back in. - can someone talk knowledgeably to that ?

What I'm confused on what's being asked in this thread and by whom. Do not get hung up on wording

There are 2 things that need to be done with when you switch the master switch

1. Relearn the auto up feature
2. Program the remote lock function for each key to operate

Go to YouTube and you will find how to do both via video.
