2006 Accord EX intermittent electrical system shutdown?
Wifes 2006 Accord EX with 137K has been acting strangely intermittently for 3-4 months. Car will seem like the battery is dead and the electrical system is shut down, i.e. no juice at all. First time it happened I replaced the battery and system
activated, car started, radio reset. A few weeks later she was out and the same thing happened...car is dead, nothing. I check the battery and it showed fine. Replaced it in the car and car started etc. A few days later, the same. I checked the battery in the car and a terminal was loose. Tightened it very tight and car started. A week or 2 later, same thing. Terminals tight. Rolled the car back in the driveway to jump it and system comes to life and starts? No check engine lights ever. My OBD reader is dead so I need to get a new one but I wonder if anything will even show as each time the system seems dead we have to reset the radio but no other apparent issue. I have wondered if maybe the ECM is going but that doesnt seem to be the usual set of issues that come up. I am moderately handy but that is it. Spoke to mechanic whose comment was he didnt know what to say and maybe an electronics shop needed to look at it? Anyone ever heard of this kind of stuff?

If the terminals are clean and tight check your grounds. If those are clean and looks good then the multi fuse could be the issue in the fuse box. I had a crazy issue like this in a friends car. It ended up being the positive cable connection to the fuse box. It had a loose connection burning the box. Ended up changing out the cable and replacing the multi fuse
