2007 (03-07) Honda Accord ATF Transmission Fluid Flush (Refill & Drain)

If the fluid comes out dirty, I'd do 3 drain/fill cycles with only a few days driving in between.

After you get it clean, I really like the idea of doing 1 drain/fill at some interval that prevents it from getting dirty again.

No external filter on this, unless somebody installed one inline with the cooler. It does have a strainer that can be cleaned or replaced, but it is interal.

The filter on a V6 is in the transmission case, see attached image and link. The dealer normally does not consider this a service item.

For the I4s, the filter is an inline filter.

Yes, indeed there is a filter. I changed mine once so far at 60k miles, and about to change it again at about 100k miles. Even the Helm shop manual makes no mention of this filter????? Dealerships deny it exists???? Why, who knows.
