2007 Accord with Key Fob No Sound when locking car
I have a 2007 Accord. I have always been annoyed as I'm walking away from my car that I don't get audible feedback when I press the lock button on my key fob.
In a parking garage or at nighttime I can see the lights flash, but I'm jealous of Toyotas that give an audible beep when the car gets locked. Why would Honda not provide audible and visual feedback after you have locked or unlocked your vehicle? I feel like one day it will ruin me because I will press lock, think I locked it, and someone may break into my car.
I searched on this forums site but couldn't find any information related to my question. Thanks for any information.

I am not familiar with the 07 accord.
I would take a look in the owner's manual to see how the key fob should alert that you locked/unlocked the car. Maybe you can change how the car responds? Let us know what you find.

Yes, if I click the button a second time, the horn honks. That is much louder and less soothing than the beeps you hear from other cars and it also reduces the lifespan of the key fob. You also have to wait a second or two before pressing it a second time.

If you wanted the beep to happen with the first push of the lock button, you would have to get a wiring diagram for your 07 to see how the accord's output is setup when you hit the lock key.
With the proper research, you may be able to wire in the same type of horn Toyotas use. I don't like messing with the car's wiring, but it may be possible.
