Default 2007 Accord SE 4 Cyl- Whining Noise

I have an 07 Accord SE 4 Cyl (52XXX K) that's giving me A LOT of whining noise when I am accelerating, this usually happens when I'm at speeds about 20MPH or above for longer than about 3 seconds. It sounds like air, and also sounds like whining that can be coming from the transmission. I've had a couple of mechanics check it out and they say its the transmission. I've replaced the transmission fluid twice and still getting the same problem. Is anyone else having this problem? Or has Honda even mentioned this issue?

I have similar problem on my 2010 Honda Accord, I can hear pitch noise when I accelarate above 45mph and close to 50mph. The noise disappear when I deaccelarate.

I appreciate any comment or advice

Old thread, I know, but I have the same issue with my 2007 SE 4cyl auto. Car has almost 130K on it now, whine has been there for the last 20K or so, but is a little louder now than it used to be. I'm thinking it is probably the transmission....but I plan to let it go a while and see what happens.

One of the most likely reasons for whining sound is air in power steering (PS). Causes can be low PS fluid, leaking suction inlet oring, or much less likelyl, leaking PS pump body.

Open hood and you should be able to determine PS noise is source. Also check for foamy PS fluid and/or low PS fluid level.

Mother-in-law in back seat has been known to produce similar complaints

good luck
